Darius Thorne is the  fiction pseudonym of writer and film Journalist Ramon Writes. While Ramon explores the world as it is, Darius explores the world's alternative facets. My speculative fiction explores the liminal spaces between horror, science fiction, and the dark fantastic. 

I'm somewhat obsessed with social experiments and the architecture of isolation.

Up until recently my work has been about bringing other people's stories to life - a creative process for which I still have much passion. The time has come, however to make the transition from analysing stories as a critic to building them as an architects

It’s a study of a man who saw the end of the world coming in his dreams. His foreboding visions forced him to choose a his promise over loyalty - a choice that cost him more than he could imagine.   A story set during the 18th-century American frontier might initially seem out of place in an anthology of horror and science fiction. However, the wilderness of 1754 was its own kind of "Void", a vast, unmapped frontier where the line between survival and madness was razor-thin. This story began as a nod to one of my favorite novels, 'The Last of the Mohicans'.
